Blue Bird of Happiness: 15-06-2015

Blue Bird of Happiness
watercolor on paper

This is an experiment gone awry. I drew the outline of the bird with water and then dropped in the color. I saw this done online (the artist used black ink though) and it worked out splendidly.
Oh, well.

Rollin' On the River: 01-06-2015

Rollin' On the River
pen and ink, watercolor on paper

I closed my eyes and made swirls with my pen. After I had colored in the sections, I decided it looked like waves on the river. It's interesting that the pale pink swath at the top is not white because that is the plain paper. I think the table lamp makes it pink. I hate that. If I wanted pink, I would paint pink.
