This design arrived in the post as a Christmas card from the company that takes care of the trees in my yard. I put it in the circle. I love its simplicity and the starkness of the black limbs against the white paper. And doesn't that little redbird just make you want to sing?
I like this very much, Belle. The black, white and red plus the simple design are very striking.

Thanks, Kathy. I used this design on one of my own handmade Christmas cards and even put it on a white gift bag. I am keeping track of your Flickr postings. I love the candy one! Such great colors. I like the way you use shadows to add depth. I forget to do that.
DeleteAnd loved the drawing of your Happiness rock. I have what I call The Happy Rock. It is a fairly flat stone-shaped piece made of some sort of clay and is hollow. It has an oak leaf design on the top of it and when you pick the 'rock' up, it rattles. Sounds weird but I love it. Bought it at the Mississippi Crafts Center outside of Jackson.
